چکیده
Socioeconomic, political, and policy decisions by the government may influence socioecological changes of land use cover pattern for rangeland people over time. This paper examines historical policy, socioeconomic that influenced in former pastoral community Sanga-Lake Mburo Rangeland Ecosystem South Western Uganda. Data on events were documented from literature supplemented an opportunistic discussion with Sanga residents. change detection between 1987 2020 provided Landsat 5 TM 8 OLI/TIRS images field observations. Images processed using QGIS version 3.20.1 employing a semi-automatic classification plugin. Political policies related to tenure reforms, socioeconomics, demographic noted as underlying drivers changes. The overall accuracies classified maps 80.36% 89.81%, respectively. Notably, woodland protected area increased 170.53% 2020, while built-up areas farmland 1348.15% 405.03%, In same period, wetland unprotected decreased immensely 46.06%. Bareland park 23%, outside park, it 25.07%. study concludes resulted sociocultural changes, political ranches, management, restructuring.

Historical Image Registration and Land-Use Land-Cover Change Analysis
Historical aerial images are important to retain past ground surface information. The land-use land-cover change in the past can be identified using historical aerial images. Automatic historical image registration and stitching is essential because the historical image pose information was usually lost. In this study, the Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) algorithm was used for feature ...
متن کاملEffects of the land use change on ecosystem service value
The impacts of land utilization change on the ecosystem service values in Daqing during 1995 to 2015 were analyzed based on unit area ecosystem service value of Chinese territorial ecosystem from Mr. Xie Gaodi and ecosystem service value calculation formula from Costanza. Results showed that the ecosystem service value of Daqing decreased from US $4343.1559m in 1995 to US $3824.327m in 2015, wi...
متن کاملModeling Land-use and Land-cover Change
Models are used in a variety of fields, including land change science, to better understand the dynamics of systems, to develop hypotheses that can be tested empirically, and to make predictions and/or evaluate scenarios for use in assessment activities. Modeling is an important component of each of the three foci outlined in the science plan of the Land-use and -cover change (LUCC) project (Tu...
متن کاملLand cover land use mapping and change detection analysis using geographic information system and remote sensing
Land cover/land use categories are relevant components in land management. Understanding how land cover/land use change over time is necessary to assess the consequences of humans and natural stressors on the earth’s environment and resources. The aim of the study was to map and monitor the spatial and temporal change in land cover/land use for the periods of 1977, 1991 and 2016 and to predict ...
متن کاملMonitoring and assessment of land use/land cover changes in Kashkan basin using futures studies approach in managing ecosystem services
Land use/cover change is one of the main factors in environmental changes. The changes directly affect the value of ecosystem services. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effect of land use/land cover change in the Kashkan area on its ecosystem services. This research was carried out in three stages, including the analysis of land cover changes, prediction of changes, and carbon st...
